Terms of Service for Pearmint
Effective date: July 6, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pearmint mobile application (the "App"), provided by Webr World LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Pearmint. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
2. Your Account
You sign in using Sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You may delete your account at any time from within the App.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems;
- Abuse the AI features (for example, automated or excessive requests designed to circumvent usage limits);
- Upload content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of the recipes, lists, preferences, and other content you create or upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate the App and provide its features to you and any household you join, including sending content to the third-party providers described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to submit it.
5. AI-Generated Content and Estimates — Important Disclaimer
Pearmint uses third-party artificial intelligence to generate recipes, recipe images, parse scanned photos, and estimate grocery prices. This content is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. In particular:
- Recipes and ingredients are suggestions, not professional culinary, nutritional, medical, or dietary advice. Always use your own judgment regarding allergens, food safety, and dietary needs.
- Grocery prices are estimates only. They are not quotes, are not guaranteed to be current or accurate, and may differ from actual in-store or online prices. Verify prices with the retailer before relying on them.
You use AI-generated content and price estimates at your own risk.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Pearmint offers auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock the App's paid features (including live grocery price checks, AI features, and household sharing seats).
6.1 Plans. Current plans (US pricing; prices shown in the App at purchase control):
- Pearmint Personal — up to 2 household members: $4.99/month or $39.99/year.
- Pearmint Family — up to 6 household members: $7.49/month or $59.99/year.
6.2 Free trial. Annual plans include a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription begins and you will be charged the annual price. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Free-trial and introductory-offer eligibility is determined by Apple (generally one introductory offer per Apple ID).
6.3 Billing and auto-renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase (or at the end of a free trial). Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected.
6.4 Managing and canceling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or in the App Store app. Deleting the App or your Pearmint account does not cancel an active subscription. When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the period already paid for; partial periods are not refunded.
6.5 Refunds. Payments are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies — we cannot issue App Store refunds directly. To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
6.6 If your subscription ends. You keep access to your saved content (such as your recipes and lists), but paid features — including live price checks, AI features, recipe imports, and household syncing — may become unavailable until you resubscribe.
6.7 Changes. We may change subscription prices or included features going forward. For active subscribers, price changes follow Apple's notice and consent rules; if you do not agree to a price increase, you may cancel before it takes effect.
6.8 App Store terms. Your purchase is also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and the standard Apple licensed-application terms. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them as to your license to use the App.
7. Disclaimers
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any content (including recipes, nutritional information, or price estimates) will be accurate, complete, or reliable.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Webr World LLC and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or the cost of substitute products or services, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App — including any reliance on AI-generated recipes, nutritional information, or price estimates — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any and all claims relating to the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars ($50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
9. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Webr World LLC and its owners, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the App; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any rights of a third party or any applicable law.
10. Dispute Resolution; Class Action and Jury Trial Waiver
To the extent permitted by law, you and Webr World LLC agree that any dispute relating to the App or these Terms will be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. YOU AND WEBR WORLD LLC EACH WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY in any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the App and its users.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
